Why Lima Beans?

Ok, now that we have my deep thoughts out of the way-lets jump right in... (anybody remember Deep Thoughts from Saturday Night Live?)

So why Lima Beans?  Well to be perfectly honest, I was trying to think of a name from my blog that would represent me.  Some of the things that I could think of that described me were already names in blogs- glue guns, digital diva, organized chaos, craftiness, and on and on and on.  So for some reason it hit me to combine a few of my favorite things- Lima beans and clearance shopping.

Not only do I love the taste of Lima beans but one of my favorite children's authors is David Shannon and he wrote A Bad Case of Stripes.

Check this out on Amazon or see below to hear it being read and see the illustrations

The girl in the story, Camilla, loves Lima beans but won't eat them because no one else in her school likes them and because Camilla is not true to what she likes she gets A Bad Case of Stripes.

If you want to see an online version of this story you can go to this awesome website called Story Line Online and listen to the book being read by an actor-click HERE .

Another one of my favorite is bargain shopping.  I have great plans to create a Shopping Bucket List on this blog...stay tuned...

Procrasination vs Perfection

I started this blog almost a month ago and haven't really done a whole lot with it.  I have thought about all the different cool posts that I want to do including being a mom; being a teacher; all the Pinterest ideas I have actually completed or used; and the list goes on and on and on...

Procrastination is often a problem for me-{if you are a family member or close friend reading this-no need additional laughter please (((smile))}.  I have always been an 'under pressure' kind of girl.  I do well (or at least I tell myself so) doing things the last minute.  I always try to do too much in too little of a time frame-hence, causing another problem-tardiness (another problem...another day).

I have been giving procrastination a lot of thought lately and I think that some of it might have to do with the fact that if I don't think I can do it well or be good at something-I just don't want to do it.  All the years of schooling that I have had have taught me that often people that are perfectionist turn out to have the messiest houses or be unorganized because if they can't do it perfect-they don't want to do it at all.   (Forget learning that last thought about perfectionist in college-maybe it was from watching episodes of  'Hoarder' or 'Super Nanny' on TV.)

So, I am forcing myself to begin this blogging journey, that I will now that I will love if only I will start....
